I am going on with my project of reproducing the 3rd battle of Ramla in 1105 at 1:1 Ratio. These are my last papersoldiers so little: the new ones are a little bit bigger. This said, at the battle partecipated around 120 Light Fatimid Cavalry. I prepared them, trimmed and finally arrayed on the battlefield, facing an attack from Crusades. More details on my blog link

That IS a lot of cutting! Pretty cool project. Thanks for sharing. |

thanks Perris and this is just a very tiny part of papersoldiers reffering to that Battle that I have already cut. At the moment I have ready: 1000 Crusaders' horses (both Knights and Sergents) 120 Fatimid Light horses 900 Numidian/Sudanese Infantry 300 Armenians Archers (fighting in the Fatimid Army) 500 Crusaders' infantry (both spearmen and archers) 2 Siege towers 3 catapults 3 meters of walls + palace + building Still I have to do a lot but imagine all this already arrayed. My project/dream is to set up this battle on sandy beach in Italy this summer with the maximum extend of troops. (just I am drawn also by other projects and so I lose my pace .. for example Romans of WSS) |
