You were asked – TMP link

For your miniature wargaming (land combat only), do you use the same scale figures exclusively, or do you use different scale figures for different games or rulesets or periods?

80% said "I am multi-scale"
12% said "I am single-scale"
6% said "I used to be multi-scale"

I have 6mm, 10mm, 15/18mm Napoleonics and used to have 28mm as well. For ECW only 15mm and 28mm.

I'm amazed it's 12%. Peter Young is the only one I can think of. Run another poll, Bill. "If you are single scale, what's your scale?"

I use 1/2400 for naval wargaming.
I have 1/6th scale GI Joe type figures for collecting, and a few times for skirmish wargames.
I have 54 / 60 / 70 mm army men since I was three and use them mostly for set ups but also wargames, rarely anymore.
My main focus is what we used to call "Minitanks" scale back in the early 1960s.

Roco Minitanks make up the bulk of my armies for 20th Century and back in the day we used Airfix 1/72nd scale figures, and those two make up a major part of my armies. However, having the specific model is more important than exact scale, so some 1/64th Hot Wheels and Matchbox make an appearance, and so do 1/76 and 1/72nd scale models, particularly aircraft. And figures just have to look good, so civilians might be 1/100th as children or 1/64th as tall people, and everything in between. Buildings are whatever looks right, and I even use Heroclix because how tall is a Skrull or other super hero or super villain anyway?
