Hi guys

Some 20mm (1/72) Normandy British tanks and German infantry completed recently, markings are a mix of decal and painted. The figures are a mix of AB, Simon's soldiers and I think Kelly's hero's.

Lovely stuff, the German camouflage is particularly effective.

The things you learn here. I did recognise the Polsten cannon, from it use on the "British" Buffalo LVT, but had no idea why airborne would be using it as an AA gun.

Or at least until I looked it up on Wiki. Clever stuff

Well 402 have looked and 5 have commented to congratulate you or add a comment or constructive criticism.

Great work. The infantry carrying Sherman. Is it a Priest or a Ram Kangaroo? The former did appear in Normandy, less sure about the latter.

Not that it matters in the least. The models are great. But might it inspire someone to respond? The "Last of Us" maybe?

The infantry carrying Sherman.

It has REME tac plates, deadhead, so probably some form of ARV or a workshop vehicle. I don't know enough about Sherman variants to ID it, except it's not an M32. But it's not a battle taxi.

Of course, that makes sense. thanks

@deadhead

Sherman Kangaroos were used in Italy , using Sherman III hulls .

The Germans used one as an ARV .

The model posted is probably a Sherman ARV Mk I .

Correct, it's an ARV.

Honestly never new that there was such a thing. (I was puzzled by the largely sealed turret ring). BARVs of course and ARVs based on Grants, Crusaders, Churchills etc, but not on a Sherman. Great photos on that link.
