Italeri Artillery, French Artillery of the Napoleonic Wars.

1/72nd scale plastic figures.

I don't do Napoleonic Wars, so what am I doing with these guys?

Obscure? I have two batteries of Horse Guard artillery.

my advice to Mike Bunckermeister is….ebay it.

I think korsun0 may have been talking about the First City Troop of Cleveland, Ohio,1877-1881. 😆

H G Wells engaged the tripods with horse artillery:

War of the Worlds – Chapter 12

Later on he comes across a deployed battery – crew and horses – all killed in neat lines.

korsunO I have been looking for obscure units that wore unusual uniforms or had odd equipment for my various War of the Worlds armies.

ochion, yes, I am converting these French Napoleonic figures into an American unit. There are a few of these Napoleonic themed units still in service today in the USA. The link it the link to my blog, where I explain who these troops will become.

Yes, Stoppage, the book is great and horse artillery got at least one war machine. The Osprey Book War of the Worlds: The Anglo-Martian War of 1895 (Dark Osprey) has lots of wargame potential.

Thanks for reading everyone!
