The Wars of Three Kingdoms 'to paint' pile is all but empty! Just a handful left.

For Montrose here's Sir William Rollo (PP's Digby figure), who is sporting a secret.

If I had to guess from his size and shape, I would say the secret he is sporting is an intense love of cream cakes!

In terms of Irish pronunciation, the last Irish (technically Hiberno-Norse) invasion of England, was around 800AD. They sailed from Dublin and landed on the north-west coast of England at a place now called…..Blackpool (which is the literal translation of Dublin!). All was going well until someone had the bright idea of marching across the Pennines in the middle of winter, something people don't do today via the M62 if they can avoid it. They were never heard of again…..
