The straight-bladed sword is interesting. Is it a chokuto from the 9th-10th century, or a ninjato with a round tsuba and handle wrap typical of later wakizashi or katana? Maybe she was just starting to get dressed when the enemy attacked. |

The book is a part of his Crane Iron Pentalogy published in the 1940s. Amidst stunning landscapes and spectacular action, the new series follows Shu Lien and Mu Bai, two star-crossed warriors, as they struggle between forbidden love and the pull of modernity, caught between preserving their way of life or embracing a future together. Jason Ning will executive produce and write the new series. Ron Moore is also executive producing. He is also producing God of War epic TV series adaptation at Prime Video."
