YouTube link How did this happen? Someone should have told us! Oh, they did? Really? Who was that then?

On the scale of global crisis not exactly at the top of my list |

That would be English with a Northern Ireland accent. Perfectly understandable. |

I couldn't sit through that. What is the crisis supposed to be? |
20thmaine | 08 Apr 2025 10:08 a.m. PST |
Some GW stuff is unavailable and GW touts sell the same stuff on Ebay for 4 times the original price, and people pay it. The fools ! |
ThunderAZ | 08 Apr 2025 11:29 a.m. PST |
All of her videos that I have at least partially suffered through are about GW in crisis. Nothing new on this channel. |
79thPA | 08 Apr 2025 4:48 p.m. PST |
Thanks. @20th, isn't that just business as usual? |
Andrew Walters | 08 Apr 2025 6:03 p.m. PST |
I couldn't watch it, was the point just that stuff is out of stock? Like maybe they're not sure what's happening in the world and are trying not to commit in an uncertain environment? Or they are selling stuff so fast that they can't keep up? Are we worried that GW doesn't want to actually sell anything? Is this 3D printers and AI putting them out of business? Luckily this is the future and we have an app for that – Gemini will watch the video for you and sum it up in however many sentences you want. I asked for two… The video discusses the stock shortage crisis in the Warhammer hobby, caused by Games Workshop's intentional scarcity model and high demand, which is frustrating fans and may drive them towards alternative options like 3D printing. Despite Games Workshop's efforts to increase production capacity, this strategy may not be sustainable in the long run, as it hurts their community growth and opens the door for competitors.
Should we worry? Surely they're smart enough to know if it's working and if it's not they'll stop and if it is they'll get rich, and good for them. This is not pharmaceuticals, no one is really suffering if they can't get the figures. If they want to be an expensive brand it's their bailiwick. |

Fun detail! I can see that her sweatshirt says "Rodeo" but the AI cannot read it. Neat! |
John the OFM | 08 Apr 2025 9:38 p.m. PST |
Loud and obnoxious. Someone keeps putting her videos up here, but I can't last for more than 3 minutes. I check the time on the video, and see that she has 15 more minutes to make an actual… point. So, I just NOPE! out. I'm too old to put up with that. |

Has the YouTube channel owner taken a big short position on GW and is now trying to drive down the share price and make a profit? That would presumably violate SEC Rule 10b-5. |
John the OFM | 10 Apr 2025 12:32 p.m. PST |
She is from Northern Ireland, apparently. GW is a British company. Do SEC regulations apply there? Frankly, the Doom of GW has been predicted for years. Decades, even. These predictions don't seem to have affected the company or its stock value one cent. One obnoxious prognosticator on a tiny website isn't going to do much damage. My reaction boils down to "little known nerd having a fit". 🤷 |

I suspect they keep low stock levels, especially if it's cast in house. Saves on warehouse space and idle materials. Also create FOMO when you know stock is likely to vanish until restocked. They may also be upgrading warehouses or other parts of the production. |
