How much do you prepare physically for a tournament? It was suggested that they are surprisingly physically demanding so a bit of conditioning is needed.

I've also seen energy drinks and medication stored on the carts.

Personally, I don't eat breakfast as a heavy meal leaves me cloudy. At AdeptiCon I opted for a soft pretzel lunch instead of a burger, fries, and everything else.

Not at all. It's another day – no need to do anything special.

I don't play in tournaments, so not at all.

Hydrate and eat some protein for energy just like any other morning, and do eat a light breakfast.

Most energy drinks are full of sugar and/or caffeine so avoid them at all costs gernerally. The good ones are for people who are working out very hard and need to replenish the salt they lose when they sweat.

I just try to avoid drinking excessively the night before. Easier said than done.

Simply start your training regime a few months in advance, Martin. By the time of the event, your tolerance should be much improved.
