In my 40 odd years of playing Empire I have killed Ney twice, Davout once with a throw of 01, and yesterday evening Victor with as throw of 02 !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone else have Marshal's of France to their credit? (;))

No but we set up two very large armies on a 20' x 6', first turn and Kutuzov gets it between the eyes on ridiculous throws, army then routs due to another 01/100 or 02/100 throw. It was hilarious and we abided by the spirit of the rules, and campaign, and removed the Russian army we just set up.

Somewhere around Norfolk Virginia (c. 2003) with a bunch of Sailors and freshly retired ones, great Empire group (7+) with everyone having different armies mostly. Bet they are still there and play…..Hello Scotty?!

They had a picture of a guy they used to play with hanging in the garage, they called "Sam". Spitting image of a younger (maybe professor at the time) Sam Mustapha of Blucher rules??? Still swear it's him.

Killed Lannes, but that was in Italy before he was a Marshal.

Empire for 50 years and our leaders seem to live a charmed life. I got Ney killed once in a Waterloo refight but that's all I can remember.

I am not one to have commanders grab a color and die a glorious death. Actually have Scharnhorst in a figure and he can't seem to even get wounded.

Not yet in Empire but killed off Davout once playing one of the 'La Bataille…' boardgames. Not one of my better moments.
