I'm looking for a ruleset to game the Rif war at bataillon level,in 15 or 10mm. I'm aware of the skirmish set from Baraka but I'm looking to recreate on the tabletop an higher operational level. Do you have any recommendation? Many thanks, best regards Alberto |

Fistful of Lead Bigger Battles might prove to be an option for you. It is a subject of interest to me as well, but my games will be at the skirmish level using 25mm figures. |

Hi Fitzovich, Thanks for your input. May I recommend you Baraka & Fatalidad, a skirmish ruleset with a lot of "period flavor" link There's, maybe for you, an important caveat, the rules are, at the moment, only in spanish. |

I'd look at rules for the Spanish Civil War and tweak from there. There is a Spanish Civil War version of Flames of War worth looking at. Bloody Picnic might be too high level: link Osprey's The Men Who Would Be Kings might also suit. I play it in 6mm adn replace a single mini with a stand of 6-30 minis (6 or 8 for formed troops, 20-40 troops for tribal zulus etc.) |

PeloBourbon Thanks for the suggestion, but I long ago failed High School Spanish. Languages are simply not my thing. I have seen their figures and they are impressive most certainly. Love to have some, but I am beyond bursting in my gaming storage area so that isn't an option. I will as mentioned us Fistful of Lead for my Rif War Skirmishing when it comes up on the list of games to be run. Best! |

Hi Extra Crispy, Thanks for the suggestion, The Men Who Would Be Kings was on my initial list of rules who can be adapted for the Rif, it will need some house rules for trucks, planes and the tanks if the scenario required it. Fitzovich, I hope they will translated the book. Thanks both for your replies Alberto |
