Nightmares about convention motels is mandatory. After 42 years of going to shows, I have a top 10 list of bad list.
Number one is an early show:
At one of the first Cold Wars at the Carrollton Sheridan, they ran out of rooms with about 40 of the vendors having been late cancelled by them. The hotel gave us referrals for booked, by them, at a motel a block away. We all went as a group to the motel. As we checked in the cashier asked for one more piece of information. How many hours did we want a room. That was 1984 or 85. |
