Been binge watching this series with the wife.
Always loved pirates, etc but actually --very little historical knowledge.
Despite what is to me mostly confusing plots, sub plots, characters, etc--- I have greatly enjoyed the ships, towns, costumes, battle scenes, etc. In the show
What say you who are more historically enlightened?
Flint reminds me of Captain Kidd a bit for some reason?
I really love the ship to ship combat -- I can still see myself as a wee lad growing up in Iowa playing blackbeard on an old wagon behind the barn.

Loved it except the final minute of show.

Counted one episode were the alliances changed three times!

Overall a great show! Sorry other than movies and firelocke rules I know very little.

I really enoy the costumes, ships, sets, battles and broadsides -- but like OFM -- half the time I cannot tell who's who or what they are all doing or trying to accomplish???
Poorly produced???
Still enjoy it.

I'm with JMcCarroll. The high point in the whole series for me was the battle in which the pirate ship used"springs" on it's anchor line to reverse sides of the ship for a fresh broadside. The other low point beside the end was when Blackbeard appears with a shaved head and not much of a beard.

It took me a couple of episodes to get into it, but from that point on I was "hooked" see what I did there? :)

Been watching BS again myself. One show a day. Enjoying it for the same reasons you mentioned. Binge watching is the only way to go with this show.
