Has anyone bolted on some period flavour to use regimental fire and fury for the Wars of German reunification?

@Martin Rapier. They have now made their own rules "Mit Blut und Eisen" based on F&F. And i think their modification and their own rules are based on brigade F&F, not regimental F&F.

Our local group has. Once the Prussians get their guns in action it becomes very tough for the French.

The best I know is in the book WARGAMING IN HISTORY Vol. 8: The Austro-Prussian War of 1866, which contains a Regimental Fire & Fury variant for the Austro-Prussian War with some additional interesting ideas for representing and managing the large skirmish clouds of the period. Even if you use none of the variant rules, this book has excellent background on the period, and good ideas about how it should be gamed.

I got it from On Military Matters, but it's probably also available at Caliver Books. It has almost caused me to buy thousands of 15mm 1866 Austrian figures, but I've managed to resist so far. So far…

Yellow Admiral- That Vol 8 is all you mentioned and more! It motivated me to do it in 10mm with Pendraken. 1866 (or 6 weeks war) is one (if not THE best) period to study and game.

Yeah, Volume 8 is pretty awesome and inspiring! I already have over a 1000 painted figs for that era so am good!

Thanks.
