Working on getting some advertising for it up here on TMP! I submitted the graphic this morning. Hopefully soon we will see DBF on the masthead of TMP. Joe Collins |

How do these differ from HotT? |

DBF is based off the DBA 3 rules. It is designed to fight slightly larger battles 24-36+ elements and has more customization options. Troops can have Heavy Armor, be Superior or Inferior, be Undead, be Lethal, be infected with Battle Frenzy as examples. We also designed it to be easier to understand and learn with integrated diagrams of play. Included are a bunch of army lists. So, you could think of it as a big battle, fantasy version of DBA. You of course can play smaller battles as well. I hope that helps. Joe Collins |

Excellent! Thanks. As I said, I am working with Bill and Gwen here on TMP to start some advertising and hopefully have an announcement. I am afraid however my lack of graphics capabilities have slowed things. I think (hope?) the last one I sent will work for them and looks good. We shall see. In any case, I will continue to work with them till I get it correct. Joe Collins |

As one of the authors who also ran many of the playtests I can confirm that lots of playtests games were numbering over 100 just for may crew (we had 3 crews of playtesters). Did we play test all of the many army lists against all of the other army list…no that would have been impossible and we welcome players giving us continued feedback. But the game is well playtested. Reason for up dates is typos in the text sent to the printers. Pretty minor but we wanted to fix as soon as possible. And we will continue to monitor player feedback and issue any necessary updates on the website. We understand we are the people in the arena…. |

Differences for HOTT: Full on fantasy armies so that Elves, Undead, Goblins have a different feel and require different methods to fight with and against. Use of the DBA 3.0 engine. So game is compatible with 3.0 and you can use armies for that game and can switch back and forth without confusion. Mythic historical armies particularly for the Hundred Years War and War of the Roses with rules to make these periods work as they are used a lot as background settings in modern fantasy. Thorough upgrade to presentation with clear rules supported by examples and diagrams in the text. Ongoing support on the website with player aids new army lists and opportunities for players to add army lists. A point system that allows games of 12 or so Elements upto 30 or 40 depending on time available and number of players. An additional one day campaign system and an update of the prior system. |

Very cool. I would love to get a copy and put together some premade armies for those playing in 15mm (are there any?). Is there a link to buy the rules? Thanks! David splinteredlightminis@gmail.com |
