I went this afternoon. Place was really busy. Some venders had lines waiting to buy their stuff. Gaming halls were full. Star Wars legion, Armanda and X-Wing. Tons of Warhammer. A tournament of Guild Ball, Wild West Exodus, and Malifaux. Plus a bunch of games I don't really know anything about. Sadly no historical games and only a few historical venders.

I am very curious about the move to Milwaukee for this year, and how it affects the vibe as well as practical impact. Adepticon, and Little Wars, had been moving around the Chicago area for appropriate space the last few years, but a move to a whole new city (even if nearby) was a surprise.

I went to Gencon/Origins 1988 at the same location and it was huge ( I think 10,000 attended then) It alot better then the seperate Hotels of the last few years.

I was there today. The vibe seems very strong and the place was pretty full for a Thursday. Saw BattleTech, Kings of War and War Machine also well represented in addition to the above mentioned. I think the move to Milwaukee is a hit.

I was in the Kill Team Tournament today.

Best part is staying home and driving to the venue.

Chicago wasn't bad but being so close now it's as easy as it will get now.

Sadly no historical games

They used to be at the overflow hotel IIRC; so perhaps they are now in the "other" convention hall? North I think.

I remember Saga and FoW

I'd love to go – all the energy in tabletop miniature gaming is there. NOVA Open too.

A bit far to drive from Philly. My publisher (Winged Hussar) is there so drop by and buy one of my books! :)

Hey Scott, I saw your books! They are out for all to see and purchase.

HMGS-Midwest is there, hosting 24 events, come and join us.

Well, Kcabai, I went back to Adepticon this afternoon. I looked everywhere, hinder and yon, and never found a single historical game. I am not sure where you were but next year, I think you should give a few directions on where you located. I was disappointed not to find any historical.

Striker29 Mar 2025 7:07 p.m. PST

Top floor. We found it but that was because a friend mentioned it. Signage would have been good. Looked like plenty of room up there.

looked everywhere

There's an app for that. 😝. I used CVent and Sunday is a slow day but we have Flames of War, Bolt Action Korea, and Victory as Sea in the Baird Ballroom. The latter two are full but you could probably register/play FoW

I ran Wings of Glory, Fistful of Lead and Blood and Crowns 100 years war – 6 games in 3 days. We were buried on the 4rth Floor around the back. The historical room was about the size of the Distelfink. The majority of space was dedicated to tournaments but there were plenty of options for games. For vendors you could get anything from Badger, lots of options for WW2 in 28mm, Firelock, Knuckleduster and the Wargaming company.
