"The Best in Hell" is a reconstruction of one of the real battles of 2022 on the approaches to Bakhmut. The script was written by Alexey Nagin, an active officer of the Wagner Group campaign, Hero of Russia, who personally took part in the shown combat operation and continued to serve. He later died in the battle for Bakhmut.

Plot: two sides are fighting – Wagner PMC (they are designated "white") and a certain enemy ("yellow"). The "whites" are performing a routine task – they need to ensure the arrival of an air controller at a high-rise building behind the line of contact, who must detect an enemy battery. But to do this, they need to consistently capture four buildings that are under the control of the "yellows". The assault group, whose commander has the call sign "Polygon", is assigned to carry out the task.
"Best in Hell" needs to be seen if only to understand how much physical and mental super-effort, how much shed blood and sweat a modern armed conflict requires – even when it comes to execution of some ordinary local problem.
