I just got back from GaryCon where I played a retro-Chainmail game. It has inspired me to try to find Gygax's Cavaliers and Roundheads. Physical copies are exorbitantly expensive. Does anyone know where I can buy a pdf?

As far as I am aware such a thing does not exist.

I did come across a rewritten/tweaked version, but can't find the link anymore. If I refind it, I'll post the link.

I checked the places where I usually find such things with no luck. This page has some photos of some of the pages, though:

Unfortunately things like this didn't get stored in libraries or archives, so they can take years to find. There were several '70s rules sets I was curious about after all these years, and I kept looking here and there for years and finally got to see most of them. It satisfied curiosity, but I never played any of them, nor did they influence anything I did. So keep searching for the PDF as the years go by, eventually someone will scan it, but in the meantime you should look for more recent runs that are likely better…

Thanks for the feedback, gents. My thought was that I'd take my armies to GaryCon next year and run a game there. I will keep poking around.

If anyone has found a copy please speak up, I've been looking for a pdf of the rules for ages.
