Hi,all During my decades of Napoleonic wargaming I have found that there are several things that I really enjoy: - Historical battles (as opposed to "tactical puzzle" games) - Complete battles, with multiple corps on the table (as opposed to isolated fragments of battles, or "bathtubbed" versions with battalions doing duty for divisions etc.) - Campaigns, where strategic and operational movements lead to tabletop battles that have real consequences for the players after the little tin chaps have been packed away. How many of you feel the same? The reason I ask is that people often say that they want to play campaigns, but preparing them is often seen as just too much work. So I have done the work… How many would be interested in a product range that includes: - A set of tabletop rules aimed at playing large Napoleonic battles in a few hours. - Scenarios covering all large battles of the war (about 100 of them) - Boxed Campaign games that can be played standalone as a hex-and-counter boardgame or can be extended with an… - Operational pack, with detailed historical maps of all of Europe, gridded for movement of divisions and corps, with logistics, scouting and concealed movement built in. - Campaign rules that can be applied to any campaign – individual campaign games use these as a common basis, but of course you can write your own. Put your hand up if this is something that attracts you. |

If I get a few nibbles I will try to have a signup page soon. Initially it will just be as a mailing list for updates etc., but this December being the 220th anniversary of Austerlitz I am hoping for a release then. |

Hi, I'm certainly interested in how the mechanics are designed for "logistics, scouting and concealed movement built in". I would pay just to get your take on how that might be done without ultra-simplification or bookeeping and an Umpire- That it can't… is where I am at now. (excepting the "Empire Campaign System" method for hidden movement, or as yet undeveloped software) Email me at napoleoniccampaigns@outlook.com |

The large battle scenarios would be very tempting. Understand somewhere I'd expect the real life data of numbers, regiments and distances and not just a version adapted to a particular set of rules. |

Interested. Have a rules set for 6mm that does not use charts. Designed using different value sets. Looking for some campaign system where battles can be large on the table and where previous battles set the stage for the next one. Logistics important but the gamer is not a bean counter but rather, the effects of logistics be modelled. OB's and maps a huge plus! So count me in as being interested. |
