An interesting example is the light cruiser Cattaro, formerly Dalmacija of the Yugolavian Navy. It was the old Imperial German Navy Niobe, which had been awarded to Yugoslavia after WW1. In German service again, it took back its old name of Niobe. It was not lucky though, as it was torpedoed by British MTBs after running aground. |
