ok did this stronghold, towers 13cm but a lot higher on the platform. its a quick simple platform to make the castle higher. moat can go left or right, some scenic boards to make the table pop a bit, and instant wargame table ready to go.

using thick PVA slapped on like treackle then water on fingers to take out brush strokes, you can make it out of xps foam, the PVA makes a hard shell thats more stronger than other materials, you do a few coats of PVA , but the result is you can create good models easily shaped , and big, light weight , i cant believe this method isnt more widely used, all the secret is is thick PVA, then water over to take ou

ps use a normal household big paint brush to apply PVA, the whole model is covered in seconds

Looking forward to trying this technique. It looks like the PVA glue takes paint and flock very well.

once dried , dab PVA where you want flock, then spinkle, and then leave to dry.
