One of the games run at this month's meeting of the Devon Wargames Group was a Furioso game recreating events at the Battle of Marignano in 1515, in the Great Italian Wars.
This is a set of rules that some of us in the club are getting reacquainted with as we lay plans to play Pavia later this year.
If you would like to know more about the events that set the scene for this battle and how our game went then just follow the link to the club blog. link JJ |

Ah one of my favourite Renaissance battles. Your figures make it look so real. I hope your Swiss continue to win when you have modified your Landsknechts!!! |

Hi and thanks for your comments. I know what you mean, Italian Wars. Is always a spectacle of a game with all its colours and 28mm seems to add to that effect in buckets. As far as the Swiss, I was having one of those games last week with the 5's and 6's really flowing so perhaps Fortuna might be in a different mood the next time we play. We have been exchanging ideas this week, since the game, on our 28mm tweaks for Furioso which includes house rules for basing etc and will be getting together for another game in the near future.
