First Russian Revolution the Decembrest Revolt of 1825 by Susanna Rabow-Edling

I knew of this event reasonably well. But wanted to read to see what started this though reading Russian Campaign of 1812 and its sequel German Liberation War 1813 one gets the picture Russians saw in Germany and France how lifestyle of the population was immensely better than in Russia. How that manifested into a Revolt had to be looked at.

The full movie is available on YouTube complete with English subtitles under "Union of Salvation". I do not know enough about the actual events to say if the movie is accurate. It is an interesting watch.

The movie, which I watched short version cold, then looked up articles and a video then watched the long version without a word understood until finally saw the short version with subtitles.
They did a very decent job on facts but do throw in some what ifs. But certainly worthy to see. I wanted the book to slow down what's happening.
The printed version of this book isn't out yet.
