You were asked – TMP link

What non-wargaming companies do you consider essential for your wargaming experience?

And in the final round of voting:

1. [TIE] Amazon AND Woodland Scenics
3. Newell Brands (Elmer's Glue, Xacto, Sharpie)
4. eBay
5. Super Glue Corporation

If we'd done this list in 1975, only two of the five we couldn't do without existed, but we still "did." Wargame 50 years, and you'll do without all of these.

I agree with Robert Piepenbrink.

Walmart. That's where I buy my Superglue, Elmer's glue, epoxy glue, craft paints, X-active knives, brushes, etc.

If we did this poll in 1925, none of those companies would exist, yet they still did wargame 100 years ago.

If we did this poll in 1875, none of those companies would exist, yet they still did wargame 150 years ago.

If we were in 1975, we wouldn't have the internet or this site to discuss this issue.
Plus we'd be facing four years of Jimmy Carter and oncoming disco music….

3D filament manufactures and screw manufactures, they did for models, instead of over detailed castings. Those were the days when Minature wargames was written by enthusisats not model manufactures.

Not a for profit corporation but HMGS cons have provided a chance to try various rules and look at figure lines before purchasing.
