Thanks for the pictures. I like the WoFun stuff; I have their 18mm Punic War, War of the Roses and ECW lines. Periods that I would never get enough painted to play. I've thought about printing unit bases for them, but I really don't like the look of the unit bases once stands begin to be removed. Again, thanks for sharing, Dave |

Actually, think the WoFun minis could be a lifeline for getting new battlefield-level games onto our tabletops now. A bit of inside ball – Greg D., who hosted this playtest Fitz linked above, bought a Warlord Epic ACW set also awhile back (and fairly cheap off another area member)…… As PzGen Dave mentions above, he's got WotR and ECW collections ready to go now in WoFun – that he would never have gotten painted up TO PLAY WITH otherwise. Really think WoFun minis are great – as a realistic concept to promote more gaming. Kudos to Greg, and Dave, and now for some great eye-candy of what can be done with WoFun flats - (Analogue Hobbies blog link) link Lots more basing inspiration like this on the blog site!

PzGeneral & Fly, I have to agree that the Wofun offers a nice entry point for those considering a period that they really wouldn't want to invest the time in painting or as a vehicle to lure some folks into table top miniatures that might not have done so otherwise. These like some other recent developments such as the Valour & Fortitude rules set have great potential to be engines to grow our hobby. |

+1 (it's a good plan to new periods, or for new gamers, and maybe for some of us old dogs too) |

I think it is a great way to get armies on the field. |
