The "alleged" 🙄 terrorist was arrested in Pakistan. He's also "alleged" to have also carried out attacks in Moscow. 🤷
And Afghanistan did the "if caught, the Department will disavow any knowledge" schtick.

I'm sure lawyers will have a field day trying to confuse and obfuscate jurisdictions. But in the end, I hope we have prisons with 13 or more stories, for the traditional defenestration.

Again, the entire debacle of A'stan brought to America by the last POTUS, Admin, etc. Not allowing the US Military to do the planning, ROE, etc. to make this op not look like the told it was. Not because of the troops not doing their jobs. But incompetence starting at the very top. There is a lot of blood on the last POTUS, VP, some in Congress's hands.

But along with 13 US troops 170 Afghans died in that bombing. Saw USMC Sniper Tm Ldr at Abby Gate in front of Congress. He had to ask for a Go to shoot the bomber. As that must have been the ROE ? Regardless no one up the chain of command could give him the word to drop the Target. He is an islamic terrorist … he is no longer considered a human.

When I was a Mech Co Cdr '87-'89 at Benning[now Moore]. With a Mech Bde attached to 18th ABN Corps. We always sent my soldiers to the Sniper School there.

I think what would I have done if I was there. And had some Sniper Tms ready to engage. If it meant saving US lives … I know I may have ended up facing the UCMJ.

But again, I and my Co. was not there. Hell, I had ETS'd in '90. Watched on TV the debacle of this complete lack of leadership from the CinC, etc. Who never should have been in office. As well as the VP. And much of his appointed staff. 2d or 3d Teamers all of them.
