A few new projects off the workbench. First up, a handful of AB British engineers for NW Europe.

I've added an AB crew to this Ready to Roll resin Sexton. The Sexton itself I painted a year or so ago but it's been waiting for a suitable crew.

Next, a real blast from the past. I was inspired by a picture of a 5.5" gun firing over open sights at Fort Dufferin in Mandalay and it gave me the urge to add one to the collection. I think the last time I made this Airfix kit was about 50 years ago! For the Matador I just used the decals that come with the kit and I know that's for a vehicle serving in Europe, not Burma, but chances are only the gun would make an appearance in a scenario. The Matador can just go into the NW Europe motor pool.

While I'm with Airfix I finally made up this Churchill Bridgelayer. My brother in law, who knows little about wargaming, but knows that I do it, gave it to me as a Christmas gift. Very considerate of him, but I thought it unlikely it would turn up in a game, so it's taken me a while to put it together. I've left the bridge so that I can remove it if I need to, that might make an appearance on a game table, even if the Churchill doesn't.

Very nice indeed.

Just did those same engineers myself recently. Really nice figs. Yours look great!

I recently made two of the Matadors and they're still the same rubbish they were 50 years ago.

Funny, I was thinking how much better it looks here than I recall from half a century ago (actually longer than that I calculate). Decent paint job works wonders

Those look great, Tactical Painter!
