Wow. Nice to hear he is building a museum for them. He must have made bank on his company. Sad to see every surface in his "mansion" is covered in miniatures, though. Too much like a hoarder, though he is a long way that, there are similarities. I would hit my "Tilt!-Overload!" limit within the first 15 minutes, inside of his museum. Not something I would travel to see, unless I had other reasons to be there. Thanks for posting, I might have missed it otherwise. Cheers! |

Malcolm Forbes also had an immense toy soldier collection, over 100,000 figures, but I don't know whether he was a painter. Apparently, much of his collection was auctioned off after he died. I guess just keeping the dust off them would have required a full time staff. link |

Impressive Fantasy Miniatures Collection For Historical Guinness Lists this museum with over 1 million miniature soldiers – with over 100K on display link YouTube link The Iber Museum of Lead Soldiers, located in the Palace of the Marquises of Malferit, is an outstanding private initiative that houses the world's largest collection of lead soldiers, the result of the passionate collecting work of Mr. Álvaro Noguera, an important Valencian collaborator and businessman. |

Thank you for posting this. I used it as great confirmation to my wife that someone actually has more, waaaayyy more miniatures than I have. So, she should actually be relieved and happy that I am not as whackadoodle as she might think… :-) |

As far as I'm concerned, miniatures not used in wargames don't count. Not sure about adjustments for scale, though. Anyway, that makes the largest horde I know of that of the late Dana Homo, who was felt to be north of 50,000 figures, none smaller than 20mm. Over to the rest of you. What's the biggest set of wargame figures you know? Hmph. Might be a poll in that, but you'd need a scale adjustment. |

+1 Robert Unless he painted them or plays with them, they don't count. Hoarders don't impress me. |

I am in the process of making a long-overdue census of my painted figures in preparation for a cross-country house move (and maybe my unpainted but assembled and primed minis, which are possible to easily count). Will try to find this topic again and make a report in a week or so. It will be in the tens of thousands, I have little doubt. All but a dozen or less are my own work and were done to be displayed or played with. |
