I have a steam tank kit I would like to list for sale, but I don't know who the manufacturer was. I purchased it years ago from Miniature Service Center in Yuba, CA. It s a multi-part resin kit with the identifier "ALV11."

It is still in its original box, and included are 2 Redoubt Miniatures 28mm steam tank crews, and a pack of Redoubt metal detailing bits listed as "Tank Detail Kit."

Seems like this kit would be great for Pulp Gaming or Back of Beyond type games. But before I list it, I would like to know more about it. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I recall that both Redoubt and The Honorable Lead Boiler Suit Co. did Victorian Sci-Fi / Steampunk stuff that complimented each other, but I don't know who did what.

I recall having a multi-part resin kit that was an absolute chore to assemble. I seem to recall possibly getting it from Redoubt in the early 2000s. I was doing a lot of business with them at that time while being heavy into GASLIGHT in the day.

Funny, I would never have given it another though had you not mentioned it.

Wasn't there a Scottish company called Mammoth miniatures that had a whole line of VSF resin vehicles? They were pretty basic sculpts but I thought they looked very "authentic" for how I pictured tfw period.

Redoubt certainly has the crews for them: link

Here is a picture of a Redoubt Ironclad landship. Painted and open showing crew. I bought all of the models they had at the time, but no pictures of my own. I think they were $10 USD-15. Ditto to "jedburgh"

Good for Pulp or Victorian Science fiction, not Back of Beyond, that is 1920-1930s conflict in China
