February Newsletter and Little Wars-40th Anniversary teasers
Greetings Fellow Gamers,
After getting feedback, it seems that some phone apps cut off the newsletter halfway, depriving you of our exhilarating content. While we could cut down the size, there is a large amount of information to put out. A remedy would be to provide a link to the current and all previous newsletter. This way you can be sure of being up to date on all the current gaming events. It will also let you have a quick reference to past issues. (see below for the link)
Our next upcoming event is the Civil War Gaming Weekend at the Kenosha Civil War museum, this February. Here is a chance to visit a really phenomenal museum, and join-in or watch some great ACW games. We have some of our best GMs with their finest works on display. Another must see, would be our own Gene Salecker's (Winner of the 2024-Duke Siegfried award) amazing collection of 1/6 Historical Action Figures.
Shortly after that is the HMGS-Midwest Game Night at Grognard Games. We will be hosting games at the Roselle, IL store. Join us Wednesday night, March 5th, starting at 6:00 pm.
The Little Wars teaser announcements are included as well. The Little Wars Badge Purchase and game submission opened as of January 1st. The room block is also open, but rooms are going fast. Information is included about the Memoir 44 Conference, Flea Market, and Painting Contest. Army info is posted for our Flames of War and Team Yankee Tournaments. In other news, work continues towards Little Wars merch. Collectable items have been ordered which includes the convention T-Shirt, Dice, Dice bags, Pins, Tape measures and a new style cap. Some promotional events are also in, such as the new badge holders. In conjunction with our sponsor Noble Knight, each badge purchaser will receive one of these collectible items.
Towards the end of the email we have published our new event calendar for 2025. This includes all planned HMGS-Midwest events, and other local conventions in the area. Be there or be square. (Sorry) And as before our usual features, including part four of our trivia quiz.
That is all for now, see you around the gaming table.
Kevin
