With the LW Convention coming up in April, my homies and me, have made dinner reservations at a place but I was wondering about what other folks do there besides eating at the hotel.

Last year I hit Bavarian Lodge. I wanted to do Schnitzel Platz this year, or either Lou Maggiano's or Bella Notte.

So I am asking the TMP'ers that go to LW, what's some good choice dinner places there in the local area?

Go North on Napierville Road, there's Warren's ale house in a shopping center on the right that's been pretty good in the past, also a McAlister's deli, Chick-Fil-A. Then South of 88 is some places, Fogo, Granite City, etc.

North on Naperville Road is downtown Wheaton where I recently moved from. It has loads of excellent restaurants. I'll do a shout out for Ditka's Grill, Altiro Fusion Latin (my favorite), Il Sogno Italian. Sadly Maypole, a fabulous Phillipino place closed last year…..

White Fence Farm in nearby Romeoville. The best fried chicken!

Schnitzel Platz, is a great place. The owners are gamers and will be at LW, as reenactors.

They also do a WWII Trivia game every Weds night, in case you are coming up real early.

I need to edit and say I'm looking for some places unique to the area, and not local chain stuff. Thanks for any and all suggestions.
