Not so much new stuff, more a bit of housekeeping with existing. I had based a couple of the smaller armoured cars but as I don't base any other vehicles it made little sense to keep those on a base, so they were removed. Added a few new aerials and touched up the paint jobs on one or two. The British have such an eclectic mix of armoured cars it's nice to gather them altogether once in a while.
Back row, left to right – a Humber plastic kit from Matchbox; a metal Daimler from SHQ, and a resin Staghound from Cromwell. Front row – a Humber light reece from MMS; a Dingo plastic kit from S-Model.

Very nice! British armoured cars are a somewhat neglected vehicle, at least in our local group |

It struck me that starting to collect British and Commonwealth A/Cs of WWII could almost be as dangerous as starting on Shermans. Curiosity took me to Wiki which lists 14 makes, but there must be so many variants of each. Another rabbit hole? |

Curiosity took me to Wiki which lists 14 makes, but there must be so many variants of each. Another rabbit hole? Yep, no shortage of types and their variants. They start the war with older vehicles like the Rolls Royce in the Middle East or the Lanchester in Malaya. Then there's a continuous stream of Humbers, Daimlers, AEC and others. Bash on Recce! |
