As many of you know, our hosting service transferred our server to a new data center, which seems to be part of a merger with another hosting service.

This should have been a simple process. Unfortunately, things got "broken," and the people at the hosting service have not been able to fix them.

Things now fixed:
* mivaroot undefined errors
* time/clock issues

Things somewhat fixed:
* I can receive email.
* I can send email from my TMP account, but I'm told the new certificate is not yet in place, so my email is more likely to end up in your spam folder for now frown

Things not fixed:
* TMP cannot send email from the server – this affects membership verification and emails to advertisers.

While I cannot fix the server email problem (I don't have access), I have been busy making test routines for the server techs. I have also been exploring alternate, non-standard ways for Miva to send emails.

I will continue to keep you posted.

I am retired now but up until mid 2024 standard professional global best practice in IT was to test new environments BEFORE making a change.

No one tests anything anymore.The days of "real" engineers are as much gone as white shirts, ties, and a dozen pens in your shirt pocket.

Very sad.
