"These 28mm BSAP Service Company troopers for WWI East Africa are produced by Underfire Miniatures here in the UK and many settler raised units were dressed or equipped in the same manner. There were settler volunteer units raised in Kenya Northern Rhodesia and Nyasaland during WWI.

I have found out subsequently that the Northern Rhodesia Rifles a settler raised unit in Northern Rhodesia were initially dressed in their own clothes but issued rifles and equipment. I am in the process of producing such a unit using the above figures. They also took part in some spirited actions against the Germens on the Northern Rhodesia border. The book ‘The history of the Northern Rhodesia Regiment' discusses these actions…"
