What I am looking for is 2D terrain that can be used for games like DBA or similar, with fields, tree areas, rivers, etc.

I have seen some labeled "Battlefront" but I don't know who these are or whether in production (I didn't see them on their website). I have also seen 2D pieces for some skirmish games or for dungeon skirmish games, but those won't really work for army games.

Cigar Box Battle Mats has one fleece mat to be cut up with DBA sized mats and separate terrain pieces on it. They also have a large mat with just roads and rivers. Pricey, but work great and match perfectly if you're using Cigar Box mats. It's nice that they drape over 3D hills too.

WargameVault has shedloads of print and play terrain. Likewise Junior General.

I would certainly consult a fabric shop before I paid wargaming prices for most of these things.

Peter Dennis sells PaperBoys 2d terrain and Wofun has the plexiglass version of the same.

Bought these for SAGA

Takes a couple weeks from Poland but he is a good seller. Most of the guys in KC have bought the SAGA set

Some will be too big if you are gaming in 15mm, but some are sized right. You could try contacting him to see if he can print smaller. Otherwise poke around on ebay or etsy search for 2D terrain.

Playmats make 2D terrain in neoprene:

I'm pretty happy with the river I bought from them (though it's too big for 40mm frontage DBA.)
