Having played these rules and the Modern version quite a few times in the 70s and 80s, I bought a copy of the newly released revised version to put on a game for my group sometime soon. However, there is no play sheet/reference card/game tables provided, which is going to make playing with a group pretty tough unless everyone buys a copy! Even then, paging through all of the rules for the various charts would seem to be a chore after several turns. Does anyone know of any play aids that have been produced? I remember many of the old WRG rules had a play sheet in them, which you could copy for other players, but this set of rules is just text. |

Yes, I bought a copy as well and I am now regretting doing so. The lack of a QRS being a major detriment to the revised edition. In my opinion this release was a big swing and a miss. So much opportunity to make updates and improve playability and just a complete failure to do so. Updated WRG 1925 -1950 (January 2025) Not recommended. |

Maybe someone with an IT set up can make a play sheet? MS publisher is ideal for that task. It should be very easy for an IT person. I also always want a play sheet for any game I play. martin |

I used to teach MS Publisher and I use it to do the Warning Order magazine. However, without the actual Word doc or text file, you would literally have to create each table line by line, which would take quite some time. You would think in this day and age that the publisher would just even copy and paste some of the more relevant tables onto a page and post it as a PDF somewhere so that everyone can print it. Without a QRF this game would be pretty hard to run for a group of 5-7 gamers. |

The author has mentioned that he might design one and publish it if it breaks the 100 sales point: link |

Just got mine, I was surprised there was no play sheet. How the heck did the author play test it without one? |

It isn't a huge hassle to make up a playsheet for a set of rules. I find it a useful way to learn them, and I'll do one anyway so I can lay it out how I like, but if 'Bill' does one I'll grab that too. |

Agreed, Martin. Honestly most QRS layouts are abysmal anyway. The obsession with size versus clarity drives me nuts. I'd much rather have two pages in sensible order using 12 point type, than a jigsaw puzzle of charts in 8 point, just to get it all on one page. For any game I run for the club I usually make my own QRS as well…. |

My copy has arrived and I agree, it needs a QRS in the style of the WRG rules. I'm seeing the author this week, I'll bring it up then |
