I think their helmets and chest armor should be at least proof against handguns, and submachine guns and proof against long guns at extended range, maybe over 250m.

That allows the warriors to get in close before they are vulnerable.

Well, if I were using these for Stargate, I wouldn't agree. After all, in Stargate the enslaved Goa'uld controlled planets were always very primitive— barely above medieval technology, if that. So the primary weapon threats the Goa'uld and their Jaffa face are swords, axes, knives and bows— against which fairly simple armor can be proof against. They wouldn't design for bullets, and certainly not machine guns of any type— they would never let an enslaved human culture achieve that level of military capability!

Indeed, it's pretty clear in the show that the Goa'uld and the Jaffa have no experience whatsoever with chemically-propelled kinetic slugs. Each Goa'uld expresses surprise at the weapons of SG-1. They may call the weapons "crude" but that's by comparison to their own, not by experience or knowledge.

But as more generic aliens, sure— why not?

Parzival…I have seen these before and connecting them to Stargate never occurred to me. Now I may need to get some and do some converting. I already have modern special ops teams in 20mm

I swear they look just like the Anubis warriors in "The Mummy Returns". Beginning scenes.

Red Box, the maker, never ceases to impress me with the sculpting they achieve with their injection molded plastic figures. The majority of their figures are 1/72 scale humans, but their fantasy figures tend to be a bit larger (these are 29mm tall).

I love their fantasy figures. I own a number of boxed sets from their Alliance line. They paint up superbly, and they are really affordable, when sourced from the factory; shipping from Ukraine has not suffered any delays, in spite of the ongoing war with Russia, over the past few years during which I have ordered from them.

I have my eyes on their Centaurs. I have plenty of Centaur figures already, but the Alliance Centaurs are sooo tempting… Cheers!

The centaurs are a good set, as are the Cyclopses.

I'm also a big fan of Dark Alliance. 👍

I agree based on the TV show these Anubis my description would be rather weak. I was thinking more on the lines of fighting on Earth in the 19th or 20th Centuries against mythological or cultist types.
Still, making the Stargate Anubis a bit stronger would make for more of a wargame than an RPG with only a few players on each side, or at least on the human side.
On the other hand the P90 was developed to defeat body armor that regular handguns and SMGs would not penetrate, so that may be why the SG teams have an advantage.
Thanks for reading guys!
