"I've finished up the last of the sci-fi civilians I picked up at last year's Sheffield Infinity Satellite event. They were given out to use as civilian "HVTs" for the Rescue mission. They're not the best paint jobs I've ever done, but they're OK, and I'm happy to be done with them."

Pretty good paint jobs – The sculpts look like they have a lot of detail to them.

They look more than good enough for the tabletop

Am I the only one who actually looked at the photos?

"more than good enough"

Please post a photo of what not good enough looks like? (Go on, why not?)

Hint it's has already been done.

Either this is last minute, players already setting up, type of painting, or a bulk cheap service order (been there, keep them coming).

Either way, is it really worth posting?

Actually this appears to be paint set promotion/testing, without actually reading the blog.

The H Man _ not sure I even understand this post. They look acceptable to me, are they noy for you? Wierd to me but I am a histotical players the one of the right a Normal(ish) looks fine to me. So what is your beef?

They are playing poeces and look oine for that, hence they need not be overpained by some obsessive that wants to look at tham from 6" not 3 to 6 ft away.

While better than anything I have painted (you actually wondered why I never post a piccie?), I am kinda onboard with H Man.

Still, the blog gives me a bit of courage and vague pointers that I might try again.

There's that…

There are just around 5 colours painted on, barely within the lines.

Perhaps a wash, or that may be an effect of the paint.

While "painted" they are certainly nothing to write home about.

Remember most historical figures at a similar level would be seen in units where the individual is lost in the unit.

These are individual all the way. There is no one to hide behind.

I'm just shocked by the comments, more than the painting.

As a beginner or last minute or quick test, I get it. But it doesn't make it good.

Even the painter admits they are not their best effort.

I would just hope people could be more honest in future.

Don't be afraid to speak the truth.

I mean, Mage Knight figures are painted too…
