How many MIGs in an IAP (the Russian equivalent of a squadron). I saw on value of 40 (but this was an early deployment to China, and I suspect that the majority was to be transferred to the PLAAF). Pg. 11, Soviet MiG-15 Aces of the Korean War.

I can't seem to find any other IAP aircraft counts.

Some information about the composition and structure of the Soviet MiG-15 air regiments:

Since April 1951, the 64th Air Corps had five fighter air regiments in its combat strength, which operated in the skies over Korea and were consolidated into the 303rd and 324th Fighter Air Divisions, armed with 150 MiG-15 aircraft according to the organization and staff.

As of November 1, 1952, the 64th IAC had 441 pilots and 321 aircraft (303 MiG-15 bis and 18 La-11).

Regiments of the 324th Air Division, commanded by three times Hero of the Soviet Union Colonel Ivan Kozhedub, were based at the Andong airfield. The 176th Guards and 196th Air Regiments were armed with Soviet MiG-15 fighters with the identification marks of the PLA and DPRK.

Consequently, there were 30 fighters in the fighter aviation regiment.
