Another wee contribution to my vintage Napoleonic line up. Alberken are one of the lesser known marks. I hope you like them.

The detail on these is quite amazing. I assume they are carrying smoothbores rather than rifles, as they have bayonets rather than swords. I agree that the curious bulge on the left hip must be an attempt to show the waterbottle over the haversack. It worked well in your earlier painting. Forgive a dumb question, but approx what "scale" are these Hinton Hunt figures? |

Back when scultpors put the elbow 2/3rds of the way down the arm. You did a great job with them. |

Deadhead, they are 20mm. Alberken are the same size as Hinton Hunt and were often copies. The company then became Minifigs – the scale grew from their initial S Range (24mm) to the more lumpen 25mm figures of the late 70s. |

Hi deadhead. Although Hinton Hunts were marketed as 20mm, the actual scale, measured from the soles of their feet to their eyes, is closer to 23mm. These particular Alberkens, on the other hand, are somewhat taller- closer to true 25mm I reckon. Their actually slightly taller than the Lammings I have in wallmoden's Corps! |

Scale creep. They are no good for Wallmoden's Corp, so you should send them to me, along with the Lammings… :) |
