I saw two unusual contemporary sketches of red Hussars in 1870, but one really all red including until the breeches given as full dress uniform grande tenue (the other with white breeches)

The Hussars of the Guard and both Hussaren regiments nr 3 and 5 had also red breeches, and can be all red clothed?

the red prince, with the uniform of Hussars of the Guard I assume

all the pictures represent them usually to not say only in grey or blue-black pantalons…
