It must have taken guts to drive these into any contested area. The first IED or a local with an RPG, who was prepared to break cover, and God help the crew. In a firefight they were very exposed., however heavy their calibres. At least you could get out quick I guess, if you could still move. Still odd that, with the military industrial complex of the US, they resorted to a bunch of trucks, with paper thin armour covering, to protect their kids

@deadhead those big trucks can't half turn on this kind of road et they surely made those they self!
