You were asked – TMP link Do you tend to play more (or possibly only) snowy tabletop games when it is snowing outside? Maybe the other way around? 38% said "no discernible difference for games with snow" 36% said "no snow in my games" 11% said "snowy games more often when snowing" |

What is this "snow" you speak of? It's 37(c) – or 98.6 (f) for the uninitiated – here in sub-tropical Queensland. Believe me, snow currently seems something from a fairy tale. |

Snowfall in southern KY is about 4 to 8 inches per year in about 1, 2, or 4 inch bunches, with each bunch melted away in a day or two. I always take the army men outside to play in the snow and take photos of them. But I am not sure I have ever actually played a game with snow as the terrain. Mike |

Funnily enough, yes I do, or at least more snow games in winter. I like to try and time historical battles to coincide roughly with their historical counterparts, although obviously there wasn't a huge amount of snow during Operation Compass, there was quite a bit at Eylau and the Bulge and Stalingrad. |

One winter I would fantasize about playing some Frostgrave games outside while I was shoveling snow. Grelber |

The best use of snow I ever saw on a game was on a very large (on the ground) micro armor game. White sheets were put out to make the ground, over hill segments. When the enemy entered the game at the far end of the play area, (and this was a BIG space) the ref did not remove the tanks, but sprinkled white powder over them- making them pretty invisible to us at the other end. Not only did it work, but it was pretty cool. |
