Having already addressing this myself and OVI. To further clarify, I saw the shoulder patch of the IIRC the US ARMY 20th Combat Engineer Bde. They are doing what their some of their primary mission is. Constructing obstacles, barriers, etc. blocking, impeding, channelizing, etc. an enemy's advance.

That would normally include mines, booby traps etc. But that would kill many people who albeit are criminals. It would not be good optics the first time some women and children were blown up. And in reality are a lower threat level, etc. No one wants to kill women and children unless you are the cartels, gangbangers, islamic terrorists, the Taliban, etc. However, IMO well marked minefield covered by LP/OPs and fire support, e.g. mortars, FA, etc. would be a good deterrent. Once they understand how Area Denial/Anti-Access tactics works.

Another thing that anyone who has been in the Infantry knows. Any given Squad, Platoon and Company can do pretty much almost any mission. E.g. fill sandbags for fortifications, load and unload cargo of many types, drive many types of vehicles, etc.

As well as well armed troops guarding illegal aliens by putting them in a circle of concertina wire, giving them an MRE and bottle of water. Plus provide minor medical assistance until the CBP, etc. can come and evac these illegal aliens and process them for deportation.

Also, Infantrymen can drive and guard trucks etc. full of illegal aliens being deported. They could also provide guards, etc. for the in processing and out processing of illegal aliens.

Those are off the top of my head.

USAID should only be providing food, clothing, shelter, medical, building supplies, farm and construction equipment. That sort of thing.

As was the USAID funding DEI, LGBTQ+, Green, sex change operations, etc. programs, initiatives, etc. Even many in those countries don't like USAID funding these types of projects, agendas, etc. And it seems this has been going on for a long time. And yes, the USAID does save children's lives, provides food, etc., etc. that is what they are supposed to do with US taxpayers' $ …

Plus reports are somehow islamic terrorists, Hamas, etc., etc. are getting $ from USAID. And I'm betting it is not going to feed their population.

Add $ to the NGOs that they get from the US taxpayer as well. Going to assist illegal aliens crossing into the US and once they are here, etc.

And Not anything that has DEI, LGBT, etc. programs, etc.

I heard one report that the old U-2 is flying over Mexico pinpointing cartel and gang activity/targets. I'm sure this has been going on from orbital assets, drones, etc. Again, taking out those key targets with cruise missiles, drones, etc. would probably fix the problem. But would be considered an act of war. Plus there would inevitably CD.

And if the Mex. Gov't was read in, well … the cartels, etc. would get the word. And they'd disperse, etc. Can't really trust their Gov't either …
