Gents, Putting on the table a WWII winter action in a few weeks, and so wanted to make some hex-based pieces of dug-in infantry squads for the scenario. Right now I'm snow-deep in getting a company-worth done before game time. (figs are cut off Victrix 1/44th scale minis, that friend and TMP member Machinehead sent my way, and much too long ago for me to be finally doing something with them!) -

:))) Ed, they're Kamiya models. I added the crews and stowage, but can't remember now if the .50 cals came with the models or not. |

Thank you one and all. Deadhead, we're at 2 degrees Fahrenheit this morning, and sitting here with some open ceiling tiles above my PC to keep those pipes up there from bursting this winter, doesn't make me feel warm thoughts about crafting more of these winter bases today. :))) Then I think back to the troopers who fought in winter conflicts, like the Bulge for instance, and to my dad who got frozen feet wearing tight jump boots during the battle……..that just makes me happy to be playing at war, eh? Thanks especially to my friend Tiger73 (above), and appreciate your service in Vietnam Jerry – try to stay warm this week too! |

Very nicely done and better than the usual dug in markers we all resort to :) Always look forward to seeing what you are working on, thanks for sharing. |

Beautiful stuff, FlyX. Terrain and models look so good. And riflemen in foxholes … so terrain and models in one! Great stuff. -Mark (aka: Mk 1) |

Pete, Marc, and Mark! Thank you Gents. I've been binging a lot on the small-scale, Flea Circus stuff lately (3mm), that I think the guys might need some bigger minis to play with soon. Link to last Saturday's "Epic-scale" Eastern Front game report - link I might be needing to play around with some of the 'bigger stuff' here too. |

Here's some additional basing completed, showing more portable snow stands for the project's 1/144th scale vehicles, which can be swapped on and off of (magnetically) -
Scene on a new winter mat also (this one 6X4 foot). |
