If a single unit is made up of multiple elements, can individual elements get pushed back because of the results of fire combat directed against them?

Shooting will follow movement and explained in detail.

In short, shooting is alternate not simultaneous.
The shooter losing an exchange has misfired or shot wide of the target.

I tend to use somewhat larger cavalry brigades – 2 -3 regiment cavalry brigades (at least in my experience) are a bit fragile
