I just noticed some accounts on various battles, such as The Battle of Bailen 1808 by Bretwalda Books. But the only version that I could see available is a kindle version on the Amazon UK website. I tried emailing Bretwalda but that connection does not seem to exist anymore. I wondered if any members might have info or advice on where a printed version of this battle by Bretwalda might be obtained?

Having now had an opportunity to glance at a friend's electronic copy, I would not waste any hard earned money purchasing this e-book.

5 pages on the Peninsular War before Baylen,
5 pages on the Commanders
17 pages on Weapons, Soldiers & Tactics
7 pages on the French Army
6 pages on the Spanish Army
8 pages on the Battle
7 pages on the Epilogue to the Battle

There is nothing new in this book and illustrations are mainly not in context for example showing a Black Brunswicker with the comment "An infantryman from Luneburg.
German soldiers fought on both sides."; a Knotel print of Dutch cavalry in 1815 etc. etc!!!

If this is the standard of the books I would advise to steer well clear of the series no matter how enticing the title may be.

Should have also added to its defects no orders of battle, nor maps!

Prince of Essling – many thanks for that. No orders of battle or maps! I though in such a book they had to be included. I'm glad I'm not attracted to ebooks now.

@Gazzola,

Agreed, though I wouldn't tarnish all ebooks as many contain very valuable information, are well written etc.
