SBm +1 Yes as I and many others have said, of a much high paygrade than I. Hegseth is bringing warfighting back to the US Military. After its priorities were shifted away from warfighting by the last POTUS, his admin, some in Congress etc. Climate change, DEI/CRT/1619, woke progressive LGBTQ programs has 0 to do with prepping to fight and win wars. Our enemies were laughing at US. They neither respected nor feared us. That is being changed rapidly as we speak. The troops relish having a warfighter like Hegseth in charge … And recruiting numbers show it … |

I stand by the Army's own figures and data on why recruiting has been off, at least until some time goes by with the current increase. The broader issue is the wide range of changing values, not necessarily for the good, in many of today's youth. That and their tech savvy education and amazing well paid jobs available, to many during recent years. Remember – the number one reason for not enlisting, according to the Army data, and I paraphrase here…

"Don't want to get killed or wounded". I and many of my comrades still joined knowing that could happen … It is called The Armed Forces for a reason. |
