One of the games held at the first meeting of the DWG in 2025 was this twist on the Battle of the Alma fought in the Crimean War on the 20th September 1854.

With the British expeditionary force replaced with Napoleonic French against similar Russian adversaries, the Alama provided an interesting backdrop to this Napoleonic scenario.

I explain my odd Russians VS Prussians at conventions other than why no French but it's not dismissed out of hand. Nice having a group like that on a regular basis.
And good scenarios work with different eras
