…why are they left-handed?

It looks like it was designed by AI

He's going to wish he was left-handed when that stealthy Archer releases his arrow.

Plus, I think that's Thor.

They still have video game arcades? Is there a 5 and 10 nearby? Or a Long John Silver's?

Technicalities aside, the painting is nicely done.

Until 20 years ago, it never occurred to me that it was possible to hire an artist to paint a mural on a wall for me. Then I saw a church basement which had a thematic mural painted on two opposing walls that were about 30-40 feet long. It was well done, using latex house paints, and the artist was local. Never found out the cost for it, though.

I would love to hire some murals for my game room, but I don't think my wife would jump on board for it… LOL! Still, it is tempting. Unfortunately, it would likely be painted over if I got it, and we ever sold the house. Grrr! Cheers!

The knight and peasant look generally correct for medieval Europe, but why is the knight holding a Roman shield?

I might as well ask why the shield is succeeding at stopping what appears to be dragon fire.

Yea, it's a left handed Thor (from Marvel movies) using a Roman shield. Yikes

Robert – has miniature golfing amd a waterr slide park too!

Asguard miniatures used to have figures that could hold a sword in that position. A very unnatural position for humans.

I think the mural a friend and I (we were 15 back then) painted across the entire wall of the hall our youth club met in was much better than that. I admit it was an easier picture though; the album cover from 'Close to the Edge' by Yes.

Well, it was the 70s!

"has miniature golfing amd a water slide park too!"

Miniature golf--along with pool and croquet--fills a critical position in any society without arranged marriages. There must always be at least one "sport" where you get to put your arms around the girl to help her adjust her swing. All video arcades do is let you stand there and watch her beat your score, or--even worse--try hard NOT to beat your score. Clearly counter-productive from an evolutionary standpoint. I thought they all died about the time the disco balls came down.

Murals. Back in the Mesolithic, one of our gamers had an almost life-size mural of charging Bavarian Guard Armored Cuirassiers along one wall. His wife painted it.

But what we still miss is the plywood full-size Bavarian infantryman he put up at a critical turnoff so we wouldn't miss his place on game days. I'd pay good money to find "Mort's Bavarian."

Why does Thor, a Norse god, have a roman shield?

Grattan
And that's what made my brain itch….

After thinking about it, it would be possible to paint a "mural" onto large canvasses, which could be hung on a wall. When it comes time to move/sell the house, just take the mural canvasses down, and take them to the next game room…

This thread is going to get me into some serious trouble, I fear. Cheers!
