Proper tools are essential to good model making. I like to keep a stash of supplies and a variety of model tools on hand. I store most of my model tools in an old jewelry box so they are right to hand.

The plastic tubing is for a laser project I have going. Toy laser of course.

Agreed. My little workshop is one of our walk-in closets, and I keep tools, paints, glues, and bits where they are easy to reach in a small IKEA desk and on wall shelves.

I have a drawer full of extra brushes, x-acto blades etc. Also A box of sprues with the extra bits on them.

LOL! The first laser I laid my eyes on, was behind glass, in a hallway niche display, in my Junior High School. It sparked an interest in me, and when I went to Electronic Technician school, six years later, I actually pursued work with lasers (in class, couldn't get a job maintaining them). Still love lasers, but my studies actually ruined my enjoyment of them in many Sci-Fi stories.

I use similar plastic straws, glued to figure bases, to hold removeable unit flags. I cut the red straws to the proper length, attached them to the figure bases, then I painted the outside black. I slip in a brass wire with the banner/flag attached: link. Works quite well.

I've broken a few of the tiny drill bits that came with my pin vise. I need to replace them, soon. Never knew I could find such small drill bits at Menards -- THANKS for that info! Cheers!
